Ornamental Pruning of Trees, Shrubs, and Perennials
Ornamental pruning is the process of shaping a plant and training it to develop in an optimal manner, using the proper pruning methods, and in accordance with a plant’s surroundings.
We adhere to the ANSI standards for pruning, and can help tend to your plants, whether they require corrective pruning to restore their form, or general maintenance to retain their vigor.
Organic Insect and Disease Treatments
Plants are vulnerable to an array of insects and disease pathogens that can be detrimental to their health. To protect your plants from these stressors, we offer a variety of organic plant treatment services.
We provide general insect and disease control, as well as integrated pest management programs (IPM), and tick and mosquito treatments. For our IPM programs, we monitor the health of your plants, and treat for any problems that should arise.
Stump Grinding
For decaying or undesired plant stumps, we provide removal and grinding services. We grind stumps at least six inches beneath the soil line.
Organic Deep-root Fertilizations
When properly administered, fertilizer can encourage the production of healthy plant growth, increase a plant’s bloom and fruit yield, aid in the restoration of declining plants, and offset nutritional deficiencies in the soil.
We perform deep-root fertilizations using an organic, slow-release, multi-purpose fertilizer that contains the nutrients and minerals, as well as the macro and micro ingredients essential for your plants to thrive.
Organic Herbicide Applications
When weeds, grasses, and other undesired plants encroach upon or invade a garden or landscape, we utilize selective organic herbicides to suppress and control their growth. The materials we use are environmentally friendly, do not toxify the soil, and are safe to apply around ornamental plants and flowers.
Bat House Installation
Bats are fascinating creatures that consume many insects considered nuisances to gardens and landscapes. Installing a bat house on a post, building structure, or tree is an effective way to attract bats to a desired location, encourage their stay, and protect them from predators.
Cabling and Bracing
To offer support to compromised plant trunks, or to provide additional support to developing plants, Bosley Tree and Shrub Care offers a variety of cabling and bracing services.
Garden Bed Maintenance
We provide maintenance of garden beds to remove and prevent the spread of invasive and undesired plant growth, as well as to promote the formation and proliferation of annuals, perennials, herbs, and ornamentals.
Installation of Plant Barriers
To deter animals from feasting on the bark of your plants, Bosley Tree and Shrub Care can install a barrier around the base of affected or vulnerable plants.

At Bosley Tree and Shrub Care, we consider ourselves plant preservationists. As such, one of our favorite activities is establishing new plantings for our clients.

Deer, Rabbit, and Rodent Repellents
Deer, rabbits, and rodents are notorious for their ravenous appetites. When gathered together, herds of these woodland creatures can quickly strip plants of their foliage, fruit, and flowers.
We can apply an environmentally-safe, organic repellent to your plants that will discourage animals from feeding on your plants. The materials we use are non-toxic to plants and animals.
